When was the last time you really looked at a tree?

Most people walk past trees everyday without a second thought. Without knowledge about how trees work, or an understanding of their critical role in nature, it’s easy to take them for granted. Trees and our urban forests are often undervalued and overlooked.

Climb to Learn and Explore

At Cultivara Tree Tours, we believe the best way to learn about and appreciate trees is simple – climb them!

Our guided tree climbing tours offer a thrilling and unique opportunity to explore the canopy, combining adventure with education. As you ascend into the treetops using ropes and modern climbing equipment, you’ll begin to discover the hidden wonders of trees and our forests.

Meet the Founder

Cultivara was founded by Tom Zadorsky, a certified arborist, tree risk assessor, and rope access technician with a background in structural engineering. With years of experience in tree climbing and arbriculture, Tom has developed a deep appreciation for our forests and the ecosystems they support.

In 2020, Tom left his office job to pursue a career that combined his love for climbing and the outdoors. He discovered arboriculture and tree work, and it quickly became more than a profession—it became a lifelong passion. Tom believes that trees have incredible stories to tell, and the best way to understand them is to experience them up close.

Through Cultivara, he’s excited to share the experience of tree climbing, giving people the chance to ascend into the canopy, challenge themselves, and see trees from an entirely new perspective.

Tom Zadorsky - Founder, Lead Guide - Cultivara Tree Tours

“There’s something incredible about being in the upper canopy of a tall tree. The sway of the branches in the wind, the stillness and quiet, the life hidden in the canopy. From one of my very first tree climbs on rope, I knew that I needed to share the experience with everyone.”

We’re committed to spreading knowledge and appreciation of trees beyond our tours.

Education has the power to shape a greener and more sustainable future, which is why we are developing our outreach programs including Cultivara In-Schools – a hands-on initiative that brings tree climbing and arboriculture into the classroom.

We aim to inspire a new generation of environmental stewards who understand the vital roles trees and arborists play in our cities.

CULTIVATING TREE CHAMPIONS - TOGETHER

Cultivara is more than just climbing or adventure—it’s a movement. By making tree climbing accessible and community-driven, we’re creating something special. Let’s spread the word, build the excitement, and bring more people into the canopy.
